Our BA will be in a client facing role helping our clients to develop critical products for our clients, may offer technical support on projects, and involve all aspects of the software life cycle. In this position, you will help maintain solution guidelines ensuring that functional specifications and systems design aligns with clients’ needs.
The work will help employees make better business decisions by providing clear, detailed metrics to groups and individuals across our firm. These projects can take many different forms and will require you to navigate through ambiguous requirements. You will continually adjust, improve and troubleshoot our reporting to maximize its potential impact. Along the way, you will educate coworkers on the information available to align their needs with available resources.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Develop reports, dashboards, workflows, use cases, data flows, and process flows.
Including custom reports and dashboards for leadership
Superior listening skills required to have meaningful conversations with clients and internal team. Understand why feedback is important and must be able to find the root cause of concern.
Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities within Scrum/Agile Methodology
Microsoft Access and/or SQL experience strongly preferred
Experience working within Jira
Build strong relationships with business partners and end users
Manage flow of projects and requests, including communication with stakeholders
Act as a data subject matter expert for assigned business units
Collaborate with team members, data teams and business contacts
Manage risk associated with handling sensitive data
Meet business requirements through querying large datasets and transforming them into meaningful reporting deliverables
Maintain and update existing suite of reporting
Enhance reporting outputs and data visualization through scripts
An understanding of consulting methodologies within the financial services industry (Strategy work, business case development, process mapping, the lifecycle of project implementation, requirements gathering, competitive assessment) is a plus
4+ years of experience as a BA, external clients and internal teams: Developers, QA, Product, Architects, and Program Management, etc.
Proficiency in SQL, MS Access, MS Excel, VBA, troubleshooting data and reporting
Experience with full cycle report building, including requirements gathering, querying and aggregating data, report rollout and upkeep
Proven success building relationships and communicating with various organizational levels
Experience with Data Visualization tools and techniques
Experience with Process Documentation and Efficiency Improvement
Experience with Jira and Agile environment
English B2+ 85%
Bachelor’s degree required with a major in MIS, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, Business or Financial Engineering preferred. (An advanced degree is a plus)
