NATURAL SCIENCES TRAINING SPECIALIST

Project Area: Life Sciences, services for the pharmaceutical industry

Our client is a leading supplier of discovery, collaboration, and knowledge enterprise solutions, desktop software, scientific databases, and consulting services to the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and chemical industries.

• Design and deliver training for scientific research data in chemical and biological areas such as biochemistry, genomics, or related areas.
• Deliver software training on client’s technology solutions to customers
• Design, create, edit, and review training collateral and experiences to train customers
• Design, produce, edit, and review demonstrative online videos and eLearning formats
• Coordinate and lead others to build training collateral and experiences
• Participation in conference calls with customers to understand their needs and requirements
• Assist and lead coordination and setting expectations for training deliveries
• Configuration of business requirements in software solutions
• Contribute to documenting business requirements
• Configure with fast turn-around for short deadline requests, projects, and training deliveries
• Work independently to design and develop learning experiences and collateral

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry related or Biology related field like Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Genetics disciplines, are required.  A master’s degree is a plus.
• Ideal candidate has worked in laboratory work at a Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or Petro-Chemical company and has strong technical skills.
• Has field knowledge in chemistry and biology areas such as biochemistry, genomics, or related areas.
• Strong English written and oral communication skills are required.
• Strong presentation skills are required
• Ability to effectively communicate and interact with technical and scientific personnel in a variety of levels
• Strong organization skills, and discipline is required
• Experience in building lesson plans and in creating collateral for technical training and/or experience as teacher/professor is desired
• Experience and interest in video production for learning purposes, including design, planning, creation, and editing, is desired
• Experience in the use of PowerPoint with representative images and examples is desired
• Experience and interest scripting with Iron Python, Python, R and applying basic statistical capabilities
• Experience technical troubleshooting and problem solving
• Proven ability to learn new software skills through self-instruction
• Self-motivated and self-manage priorities
• Proven ability to collaborate and coach others to a successful outcome
• Willingness and ability to travel

• Position will report to Education Services Manager
• Status reporting to track priorities and time as well as routine reports
• Work will be reviewed internally for quality and from customer feedback
• Customer interactions will be over email, face to face, online remote or within published recordings
• Onboarding will be done face to face, remote, self-instruction, or guided contribution on a customer project for familiarization with software solutions and processes
