Location: Costa Rica / Perú / México / Guatemala
Help us support our internal customers base when using on-prem and cloud self-service/provisioning solutions. This position demands skills related to running and maintaining provisioning of virtual infrastructure (VMware, Azure, AWS) with moderate complexity IaaS backends (vSphere, Azure and AWS compute).
Plan and execute changes according to defined support cycle.
Fix problems and solve the issues that are reported by internal customers.
Propose and document technical standards.
Provide technical guidance and coaching to end users.
Support day to day operations of the automation platform.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Locate/troubleshoot Virtual machines in our global VMware and cloud footprint.
Searching/Identifying/modifying NSX Security groups / Tags in vCenter.
Checking Windows and Linux Server Event viewer logs/ services.
Joining Windows machines to domain.
Troubleshoot Windows and Linux connectivity issues.
Searching for AD Objects/deleting them as cleanup for failed provisioning.
Creating/searching port-groups on ESXi clusters/troubleshooting virtual machine connectivity issues.
Creating/Modifying/deleting Anti – Affinity rules, Host overrides on ESXi clusters/ migrate servers to appropriate clusters and accordingly update reservation.
Management of port-groups in vRA reservations to allow provisioning to them.
vRA / Provisioning portal administration – checking/granting user permissions, monitoring subscription workflows to find out where provisioning may be failing.
Rundeck/Ansible portal checking/granting user permissions, monitoring jobs, troubleshooting issues.
Monitoring Audit/Event logs, checking automation platform appliances, web (IIS), agents on servers.
Decommissioning of Windows and Linux servers Basic.
Qualifications for Consideration:
Bachelor’s Degree or related work experience. An ideal candidate should have below skills and at least (3) years of experience with:
Work in global team on specific goals
Work with L2/L3 senior engineers on specific goals.
Operational awareness and experience with incident and change management
Configuring the company systems to specified requirements
Raising vendor SRs and working with vendors on issues
Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:
Windows and Linux OS (2016/2019 and RHEL or similar Linux) moderate level.
Virtualization (vSphere) moderate to expert level.
